2416 Calvary Road - 05/03/2020
This was a 2 Plus Alarm Building Fire in Abingdon’s first due area. The mansion was built in 1868. Most people would recognize the building as part of what used to be Harford Christian College. In addition to the 2nd alarm, there was a special call for two trucks and additional tankers. Companies responding or alerted for fill ins to cover stations were as follows. Abingdon, Level, Aberdeen, Bel Air, Darllngton, Fallston, Jarrettsville, Joppa-Magnolia, Norrisville, Susquehanna Hose from Harford County. Kingsville from Baltimore County and Water Witch from Cecil County. The blaze took over 50 firefighters and over 200,000 gallons of water, over two hours to bring under control.
